The figure often adds life to a scene

Please join us to draw/paint animated figures in the downtown area. We will begin at the Senior Center and venture out into the cool summer mornings capturing the sunlight casting over the figure to show facial form and folds on clothing. Jo will have handouts and instruction on proportion, value and skin tones.  We will have volunteer models and each other. Bring a folding chair, sketchbook and drawing/painting materials you enjoy.

November Art In The Afternoon

Aaron Stephens will showcase his abstract drawing techniques. Often drawings are held in a lower status than abstract painting. By definition, “Abstract art seeks to break away from traditional representation of physical objects. It explores the relationships of forms and colors, whereas more traditional art represents the world in recognizable images.”
