Please fill out the form below and upload three photos we can use to promote your exhibit. Then, click “Submit” to apply for an exhibition in Arts Iowa City’s Gallery at the ArtiFactory. Our gallery committee will consider your entry and contact you about scheduling. Our goal is to showcase you and your artwork and you as an artist. Generally we hold a Friday evening (6:00-8:00 pm) reception near the start of your exhibit. If there is a Downtown Gallery Walk during your month they are usually on a Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm. Some of our artists give a talk during their reception. Others have presented a video about their artwork. It can be a simple talk or a detailed PowerPoint slideshow. It is up to you. We can help you if need be. We have had a wide range of artists for this program.
Our gallery is open Saturdays from 1-3 pm or by appointment. The gallery is also open during any program held at the ArtiFactory. We have several theater groups that give performances on our stage. If there happens to be one during the run of your exhibit our gallery will be included. We will send information to local papers and often there has been a write-up in the paper. The ArtiFactory Gallery can display about 24 pieces or more if smaller in size. All framed artwork needs to have a wire hanger on the back. We have some cases and pedestals available for 3-D work. It is recommended that you have labels with your contact information. A printout of your biography and/or artist’s statement will help visitors to the gallery get to know you and your work. We request a 25% donation of any sales. All sales are to be conducted between buyer and the artist. The artist will be responsible for all tax considerations.
