Bio:
Ramin Roshandel is a composer and photographer. Over the past few years, his work has appeared in Big Picture Project in Denver (curated by Mark Sink), Our Selves (curated by Helene Vienna), and Public Spaces One’s Auctions. He is currently exploring the wetplate collodion technique on different materials.
Ramin’s compositions have been performed by The JACK Quartet, Ensemble Dal Niente, Kamratōn Ensemble, and LIGAMENT duo, as well as at the NYC Electroacoustic Improvisation Summit.
Ramin’s collaborative album with Jean-François Charles, Jamshid Jam, was nominated in the World Music and Crossover Productions categories of Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics’ Award). Ramin holds a PhD in Music Composition from the University of Iowa.
